Childcare facilities close to campus are essential for combining studying and working with everyday family life.

As Studierendenwerk Paderborn, we run the daycare centres Uni-Zwerge and MS-Kunigunde. We offer childcare places for children of students and employees of Paderborn University as well as for children of working parents on and off campus.

Our daycare centres are closely networked with campus life: there are many exciting synergies with the university that enrich everyday life at the daycare centre. Whether projects in the fields of sport, maths or creativity - students and staff from the university are actively involved and work together with our daycare centres to create a lively community.

Would you like to enrol your child in one of our daycare centres? We will be happy to advise you personally on the two centres, the contractual framework and explain all the steps leading up to your child's enrolment.

MS-Kunigunde day care centre

Online reservation via the Day-care centre navigator

To register, you must also register in the Day-care centre navigator of the city of Paderborn. This is a centralised online system for all daycare centres in the city of Paderborn, which is used to allocate places.

In the Kita-Navigator you can apply for up to eight facilities at the same time - including ours, of course. Important: Places are allocated exclusively via this system and according to the criteria of the respective organisation.

If you need a place for the new daycare year (starting on 1 August), you should send your child to by 31 October at the latest. in the Kita-Navigator.

Daycare centre University dwarves

The Uni-Zwerge daycare centre is located in the middle of the Paderborn University campus. As the Paderborn Student Union, we are the organisation responsible for the facility and provide places for children of students and employees of Paderborn University and places for children of working parents on and off campus.

The daycare team

The children are looked after by educational specialists (nursery teachers, U3 specialists, child carers, language development experts, motor therapists, social pedagogues, childhood educators and interns). Interns are also regularly on site. Meal preparation and other housekeeping activities are carried out by a kitchen team.
