At Studierendenwerk Paderborn, you have the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship as an office management assistant (m/f/d) and/or gain valuable practical experience in the form of an internship in our diverse fields of activity.




Your apprenticeship with us
In our training as Management assistant for office management you can look forward to exciting content!
You will get to know this with us:
- The diverse specialist departments of the Studierendenwerk: e.g. student finance, our modern finance and accounting system, marketing (incl. social media), human resources, merchandise management, housing administration
- Varied tasks from A for application processing to Z for time recording
- Active cooperation and independent assumption of tasks in various areas
- Business and office management processes
Facts and figures on training:
- Prerequisite school-leaving qualification: At least a good intermediate school-leaving certificate, ideally an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences
- The dual training programme takes place at the Studierendenwerk Paderborn and the Berufskolleg Schloß Neuhaus
- Standard training period: 3 years
- Start of training: Always on 01 August of the year
- Salary according to TVAöD
Internships in our Day care centres
Our day care centres „MS-Kunigunde“ and „Uni-Zwerge“ of the Studierendenwerk Paderborn offer numerous internship opportunities. To summarise, the following types of internships can be completed in our facilities:
- Training-related internships in block or daily assignments
- At the end of leading annual internships (as part of the training to become an educator (m/f/d))
- School internships in individual time models
Important: You can submit an unsolicited application at any time using our application form (unsolicited application) or at the time of our job advertisement for annual internships.
Please do not apply by e-mail to the individual centres for the desired internship, as we can only review applications via our official online forms for data protection reasons. Your application will be made available to the daycare centres for review after we have received it.

School and retraining internships
An initial insight into the real world of work can be gained as part of a work placement. For example, our administration department offers a wide range of professions in which internships can be completed, in addition to vocational training as an office management assistant (m/f/d).
In cooperation with various institutes, agencies or vocational training centres, there is also the possibility of retraining internships, depending on internal availability.
You can submit your unsolicited application for internships at any time using our application form (unsolicited application).

If you apply for a position using our online application form, you will receive an automatic confirmation by e-mail immediately after submitting your application.
If you cannot find an e-mail, please also check your spam folder. With this mail you can be sure: Your application has been received.
Our positions generally have a fixed application deadline.
Until this date you can submit your application. Only then will all documents be reviewed by the relevant specialist department, the staff council and the HR department.
Important: After the deadline, an application is usually no longer possible.
If the position is advertised again later, you can apply again.
After the application deadline, we look through all the documents carefully - this takes some time.
You get from us feedback as soon as possible, as soon as the selection process has been completed.
We know that you put a lot of time and effort into your application - that's why we attach great importance to a Fair and transparent procedure.
No problem! Simply reply to the automatic confirmation email, that you received after your application and attach the missing documents.
If we contact you directly and request further documents, you can also in this case simply by reply e-mail submit the files later.
If your documents are convincing, we will invite you to a Job interview - usually in person on site. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other better and clarify any unanswered questions. During the personal interview, you will get to know one or two line managers, a member of our staff council and the head of our HR department. At management level, there will be an interview with our management.
If the conversation goes well, either a Work shadowing or directly a Contract offer.
If everything fits for both sides, we will create your Contract documents and inform you about the next steps.
Should you No invitation we will inform you by e-mail with a Cancellation letter.
