Who are the Tutors
The tutors are students like you - they know life in the hall of residence from their own experience. They will help you with practical everyday questions, provide advice and support and regularly organise joint activities that strengthen the sense of community: from cooking evenings to games and film evenings to excursions in the surrounding area.
The aim of the tutor programme is to create a vibrant, open and supportive community where everyone feels welcome - whether you've just moved in or have lived here for a while.

Frequent Questions (FAQ) to the tutors
Tutors must be tenants of the respective hall of residence, be at least in their second semester at university and have at least two semesters of rent left. You should be able to devote 12 hours a week to working as a tutor, and of course you are welcome to do more. We expect openness and tolerance. At least one team member should speak German to ensure good external communication. We endeavour to keep the teams as diverse as possible.
A tutor contract is initially for one year and can be extended for a further 6 months if desired and if the tutor proves their worth.
When tutor positions become available, we post the relevant job adverts in the halls of residence and also send them to the tenants of the hall of residence by email. Applications can then be sent to Mrs Migula at soziales@stwpb.de be addressed to. You are also welcome to send us an unsolicited application. Your application will then be considered for the next vacancy.
