Vytal - Reusable in the canteen

Plastic waste with to-go food? It doesn't have to be! With Vytal, you can use a digital, deposit-free, reusable system that is simple, sustainable and free. In fact, Paderborn Student Union was the first student union in Germany to introduce Vytal in its catering facilities. So you can enjoy your food - without disposable packaging and without a guilty conscience.

How Vytal works

The use is very uncomplicated:

Download & register app (free of charge in the Apple Store or Google Play Store].
Order food in the canteen or Grill|Café - your meal will be filled into a high-quality, leak-proof reusable tray.
Scan the QR code - the bowl will be assigned to your app account.
Return - bring the bowl back to one of our facilities or another Vytal partner within 14 days. It will be scanned there, hygienically rinsed and put back into circulation.

If you miss the return deadline, the app will remind you in good time. After 14 days, a replacement fee of €10 will be charged - or you can extend the deadline by a further week for just €1.
