BAföG hotline now also available via sign language telephone

From the 1 December 2025 the BAföG hotline of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space will become more accessible: deaf and hearing-impaired people will then be able to call via sign language and video telephony on the subject of BAföG.

The new Signing telephone enables direct, free counselling via the Internet and expands access to important information on student financing. This is a further step towards greater participation and accessibility.
